If you are an HPA staff member, you never know what you will return to when you return from vacation. HPA Office Manager, Carolyn Armstrong, learned this six years ago when she returned to work and was surprised to find her office covered with yellow sticky notes. The notes covered the walls, plants, furniture, and there were piles of sticky note pads pyramided on her desk.

The sticky notes served their purpose (even though there was nothing written on them). “We care, Carolyn!!” The staff took the time to stick it to her office, and then we even helped clean up after the amusement was over. (There was some debate, however.)

So, how many “sticky notes” do you think it took to decorate Carolyn’s office? The answer is “six year’s worth.” We’ve been using those same sticky note pads ever since that incident and boy, were they yellow! HPA just recently had to reorder the 3M sticky note pads. Our supply is now replenished, and we’re again prepared for our upcoming classes, students, Carolyn’s next vacation, and any other occasion where they may be useful in highlighting HPA values.

At last report, 3M stock was still climbing!
